Chang's Story

Welcome to Chang’s Touch, an all-vegan online sex boutique for your sexual play! CT started after reading a wonderful book called Vegan Sex by Dr. Joel Kahn and Ellen Jaffe Jones (I highly recommend it!). As I was reading this book, the topic of how conventionally made condoms, personal lubes, or sexual toys were not vegan-friendly, were made with harmful materials and/or chemicals or that they could be tested on animals. I am a little embarrassed to admit it, but I did not know that  Honestly, I was in shock!

As a vegan, I am so conscious of what I put in and on my body. As I kept reading Vegan Sex, one of the chapters discussed buying vegan sexual products, with various links to various websites online. I searched them out, but unfortunately, these online stores had not been active in years; I searched out brick-and-mortar stores near me and they had one or two vegan options. It honestly reminded me of ten years ago when you had this tiny section in the grocery store for meat alternatives.

From there, I Googled companies that sold vegan sex products only and was delighted to discover that they existed. Great! I thought to myself, the problem that I quickly discovered was that I had to go to multiple online stores to get what I needed and it was tiring and a waste of time. I needed a one-stop vegan shop.

My next thought, fast as lighting, was that I should open such a store... It was such a crazy thought for me because it was not what I had pictured myself doing when I woke up that morning! But once that thought went into my head, it wouldn’t leave me; and now here we are, a year later. I hope you enjoyed reading a bit of our story and use Chang’s Touch for all those sexy-time needs!
